Jugran thanks U’khand Govt for FIR approval against Sidhu

The BJP leader Ravindra Jugran expressed his gratitude to chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami and forest minister Subodh Uniyal for their approval to register an FIR against former Uttarakhand DGP, BS Sidhu for alleged illegal purchase of reserved forest land in Rajpur area and the felling of 25 Sal trees.

In a Press conference in Uttarakhand Press Club on Wednesday, he said that it took ten years to file an FIR against Sidhu who illegally acquired 10 Bigha land of reserve forest and subsequently cut down 25 trees on the same land. He said that the then officials concerned had verified all these allegations of Sidhu’s involvement but the then State government of Congress in 2012 failed to take any action against him and continued to protect him. He said that the government did not take any action in the past 10 years and the officials concerned also acted as mute spectators on the matter. He thanked the State government for taking cognisance of the matter and for approval to register FIR against the ex DGP.
