Joshimath crisis reflects in Dhami Govt’s budget

The commitment of the State government to construct a new Joshimath town has been reflected in the budget document of the Pushkar Singh Dhami government. The government has earmarked a sum of Rs 1,000 crore for the relief and rehabilitation works.

It is pertinent to mention here that a major portion of the Joshimath town has been affected by the problem of land subsidence and the State government is hoping that the union government would release a mega relief package for the reconstruction and rehabilitation of Joshimath.

Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that the construction of a new Joshimath is the commitment of the State government. He said that a provision of Rs 1,000 crore has been made in the budget for Joshimath.
