The Uttarakhand Congress has termed the Janata Darbar programme of chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami as a failure.
In a statement, the spokesperson of Garhwal division of Congress, Garima Dasauni said that in the last four and half years of BJP rule in the state only one Janata Darshan programme of CM was held in which a female teacher was insulted. She added that in one programme organised by cabinet minister Subodh Uniyal, a trader of Haldwani committed suicide. Dasauni said that after these programmes the Janata Darshan was put in cold storage.
She claimed that the people who had come to attend the programme were insulted. The Congress leader said that only one fourth of those who had come met the CM while others were asked to go back. She said that people had a lot of expectations from the Janata Darshan programme being held after a long time and had hoped that their problems would be solved when they met the CM but all these hopes were dashed.
The Congress spokesperson also questioned the administration for stalling the entry of media in the programme.
