With the Joshimath land subsidence remaining a matter of grave concern, some other parts of the State are facing problems from the Tehri lake as several houses are developing cracks. It is learnt that land subsidence threat is particularly hanging on the Chinyalisour region in Uttarkashi district. The land subsidence and landslides keep happening near the air strip in the area too. It is learnt that aside from Gangotri highway, some government and private schools and government offices have the threat of land subsidence hanging over them. Soon, a government team will come and meet the senior officers of rehabilitation department and THDC India Limited to find out ways to meet the problem.
