The Institution of Valuers (IOV) in Dehradun celebrated Valuers Day in an event organized at a hotel here on Sunday. The organizers also commemorated the birth anniversaries of MK Gandhi and former Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri on the occasion.

The chief guest of the event Sanjay Bhargava, regional chief of HUDCO said during his address that necessary administrative and legal facts should also be mentioned in the evaluation record by IOV. He said that it is necessary to constitute an authorized body by the Government of India and the State Government to determine the honorable fee of the valuers so that they do not have to determine the fee repeatedly with unnecessary bargaining haggle.

The chairman of IOV, Pawan Kumar Goel informed that IOV  is approved by the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board of India (IBBI) and a total of 30,000 valuers are registered under this institution from across the country. There are 52 branches of IOV in the country and 120 valuers are from Uttarakhand. The valuers present the evaluation report of the land, building, agriculture, gold, and silver jewelry among others, and submit them to the financial institutions concerned, the Income Tax department, and private organizations.
