Inspection reveals anomalies in Tehri hospitals

The Tehri district chief medical officer Dr Sanjay Jain conducted a surprise inspection of the hospitals at Jakhnidhar and Devprayag blocks to take stock of the health facilities in the hospitals in view of the Char Dham Yatra. He observed various irregularities during the inspection.

The officials found that the pharmacist at the hospital was not present in Nandgaon till 9:30 PM. Orders were issued to deduct the pharmacist’s one day salary. The doctor on duty at Petab village was found to be absent for seven days without notice and his salary has been held on this basis.  All medical staff members were present in Khandoghi and Anjani Sen village, while the officials directed the subordinates to hold the salary of the doctors absent from duty at Jamnikhal.

At the hospital in Hindolakhal a doctor in-charge was found missing from the headquarters without prior notice and he has been summoned for clarification. Everyone was present at the Devprayag hospital. In the hospital at Gaja, the doctor was absent from the headquarters without notice and has been asked to present his clarification. Everyone was instructed not

to leave any hospital without prior notice, otherwise strict action will be taken against them.
