Inmates making 10,000 tricolours in Haridwar district jail

As part of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, inmates of the Haridwar district jail are also doing their bit towards spreading the patriotic fervour. The jail inmates are busy in stitching together about 10,000 tricolours. Haridwar district jail superintendent Manoj Kumar Arya said that a target has been set to make about 10,000 national flags. Once made, these flags will be made available for sale in the market.  Along with this, the tricolor flag will also be installed in every barrack of the district jail.

A total of 20 sewing machines have been made available and the prisoners are working together to stich the national flags.Apart from this there are plans to celebrate Independence Day with enthusiasm in the district jail premises.

Along with various sports competitions a general knowledge competition will also be organised on August 9 on the theme of August Kranti.  On August 15, a Prabhat Pheri will be taken out in the jail premises in which a tableau of freedom fighters will also be taken out.
