Amidst reports of increase in contagion of Covid-19 in some states, the cases of the disease in Uttarakhand too are increasing.
The data shared by the Social Development for Communities (SDC) foundation suggests that in the week ending July 31 the new cases have increased by 94 per cent when compared with the previous week. From July 25 to July 31 a total of 466 new cases were reported while 240 cases were reported during July 18 to 24.
The Founder of SDC foundation Anoop Nautiyal said the increase though small in terms of the numbers should act as an alarm for the authorities. He said that the number of testing should be increased and focus should be in increasing the pace of the vaccination and micro containment clustering.
