In latest Uttarakhand news, the vice-president of Badrinath Kedarnath Temple Committee (BKTC) Kishore Panwar said that the Archeological Survey of India has remained engaged for about two months in repairing the minor cracks that developed on the revered Badrinath shrine.  He said that earlier, ASI had made an inspection and found some minor cracks and now these are being repaired. Also, he claimed that the as per the ASI inspection, the foundation of the shrine is intact. This was a matter of relief for all the devotees, he added. Notably, the president of the committee Ajendra Ajay had in 2022 written to the Centre, informing it that a few cracks had appeared on the main entrance of the shrine known as Singh Dwar and subsequently, the Centre had asked the ASI to prepare a detailed report following inspection.
