Inauguration spree by CM an act of desperation: Cong

Questioning the inauguration and foundation stones unveiling spree  by  the chief minister Trivendra Singh Rawat in  the recent days, the state Congress said that the state government seemed to have done nothing over the past two years for the people of Uttarakhand.  Speaking to the media persons at Rajiv Bhawan- the state party office of Congress- on Tuesday, the state Congress vice- president Surya Kant Dhasmana said that the spree of foundation laying and inaugurations has been  triggered by the  fact of the model code of conduct being enforced soon. He termed it as evidence of  the state government having done nothing over the past two years. He claimed that the CM is inaugurating the projects actually started by the Congress government.  Launching a scathing attack on the Centre and the state government, the Congress leader said that the BJP leaders have realised that the people are angry and ready to teach them a lesson in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. “The Centre  has done nothing in the last five years. Similarly, the state government has done nothing in the last two years. The much- touted double engine has failed miserably. The students, unemployed, farmers, employees, traders and other sections of  the society are not happy with the government and  in a fit of desperation, the BJP government and the chief minister are engaged in  inauguration and foundation stone laying spree,’’ he said. The Congress leader claimed that 90 percent of the projects CM is inaugurating these days was started  during the time of the previous government. Wednesday, 06 March 2019 | PNS | Dehradun
