Voluntary removal of buildings directed for the Rail project

Dehradun: The Tehri district administration has informed that compensation has been distributed to the owners of buildings and properties in the area acquired for construction of tunnel, railway station platform and other infrastructure for the part of Rishikesh-Karnprayag railway project in Tehri district. As per the State Government order, no compensation will be paid to farmers/affected persons for buildings falling under Government land/PWD land and transferred forest land acquired for the project. The district administration has informed owners of all buildings/estates acquired or falling in the project affected area to themselves remove the buildings within one month. Failing this, the authorities will remove the same and charge expenses.

JBCC Lounge opened in Doon

Guv plants Tulip at Rajbhawan

Dehradun:Governor Baby Rani Maurya planted the Tulip bulbs in the Rajbhawan premises on Thursday. For the ‘Colors of Spring Festival’ this year, six species of Tulip flowers have been planted in the Rajbhawan. Governor said that flowers of commercial value should also be planted in the Rajbhawan garden to inspire those engaged in flower production.  She added that by promoting floriculture, employment opportunities in the hill areas of the state would increase.
