IMA’s passing out parade to be held on June 10

The passing out parade at the Indian Military Academy will be held on June 10 and thereafter the gentlemen cadets from India and abroad will become integral parts of the armies of their respective countries as officers. Notably, IMA was founded on October 1 1932. In the past 91 years of its existence, IMA’s training capacity has increased from 40 to 650 gentlemen cadets. Till now 64,000 have passed out of IMA as gentlemen cadets and they include foreign origin cadets from friendly countries. According to the IMA officials, the graduation ceremony will be held on June 2. During this, the cadets of the Army Cadet College wing will be conferred with the degrees of Jawaharlal Nehru University. After this, the cadets of the ACC wing will become parts of the IMA.

The IMA officials further informed that the commandant award ceremony will be held on June 8. During this, the gentlemen cadets who have excelled during army training will be felicitated. In the morning of June 8, commandant parade will be held and on June 9, a multi-activity display show will be organised at IMA.
