IIT Roorkee inks MoU with SRHU on 175th anniversary

In an important development in the field of academics and research, the Swami Rama Himalayan University (SRHU) Jollygrant has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee. The MoU signed on the occasion of 175th anniversary of IIT Roorkee would help the students of SRHU to avail the research facilities of IIT Roorkee.

The chairman of the organising committee of 175th anniversary programmes of IIT Roorkee, Arun Kumar said that the institute would cooperate with a renowned educational institute like SRHU in research innovations and development. Under the MoU, the faculty of IIT Roorkee would give guest lectures in the SRHU.

Welcoming the development, the Vice Chancellor (VC) of the SRHU, Vijay Dhasmana said that the understanding would be beneficial for the students of different colleges of SRHU. He expressed hope the doctors and engineers of the two institutes would work in synergy for making equipment which would make the treatment easy, cheap and accessible.  It would help in providing quality health services at less cost.

The MoU was signed in the online presence of Professor Sanjiv Minhas of IIT, Professor Manoranjan Parida, Vivek Mallik, chairman of All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) Anil D Shastrabuddhe and BVR Mohan Reddy. The Pro VC of SRHU Dr Vijendra Chauhan, registrar Sushila Sharma, Dr Mushtak Ahmed, HP Uniyal and Dr Mukesh Bijalwan were also present on the occasion.
