The Sushasan Camps organised by the Haridwar-Roorkee Development Authority (HRDA) for passing building layouts have generated more than Rs nine crore in revenue. The officials are expecting this figure to rise beyond Rs 10 crore. The HRDA vice chairman Anshul Singh informed that in the series of Sushasan Camps held by the authority in various locations, maps of 577 buildings were passed by the HRDA. Out of the included 499 residential building maps and 78 commercial building maps received in the camps, 446 were approved, including 376 residential building maps and 70 commercial building maps. He said, “The HRDA organised a total of nine Sushasan Camps in various areas of the district. If we add the pending cases along with those received during the camps, about 500 building maps are likely to be passed by the authority. This is a major achievement for us as generally we pass about 3,000 building maps during the whole year. If we are able to approve 500 building layouts in some days, especially in areas where people were uninterested in getting the maps passed, it is indeed an achievement for the HRDA,” Singh said.
He further said that the camps were held in places where the HRDA offices or block development offices were situated. The personnel of the Tehsil and other departments concerned also cooperated with the HRDA in facilitating the approval of the maps in public interest.
