Heavy rainfall warning issued for 6 districts today

Heavy rainfall is likely to occur in parts of six districts today. The State meteorological centre has issued a warning (watch) regarding the possibility of heavy rainfall likely to occur at isolated places in Dehradun, Pauri, Nainital, Champawat, Bageshwar and Pithoragarh districts on Friday.

Apart from this, light to moderate rainfall/thunderstorms are likely to occur at most places in the mountains and at a few places in the plains with intense showers possible at isolated places.

The provisional State capital Dehradun is forecast to witness partly to generally cloudy skies. Moderate rainfall / thundershowers are likely to occur, which may be intense/heavy in some areas. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be around 30 degrees Celsius and 24 degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun on Friday.

Meanwhile, the maximum and minimum temperatures recorded in various parts of the State on Thursday were 28.6 degrees Celsius and 23.8 degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun, 30 degrees Celsius and 25.6 degrees Celsius in Pantnagar, 17.7 degrees Celsius and 15.4 degrees Celsius in Mukteshwar and 23.2 degrees Celsius and 17.8 degrees Celsius respectively in New Tehri.
