Heavy rainfall warning for six districts today

Heavy to very heavy rainfall is likely to occur in six districts of the State on Friday. The State meteorological centre has issued a warning regarding the possibility of heavy to very heavy rainfall at isolated places in Uttarkashi, Chamoli, Bageshwar, Dehradun, Pauri and Nainital districts on Friday. Apart from this, light to moderate rainfall/thunderstorms are likely to occur at most places with intense showers at isolated places in the districts today.

The provisional State capital Dehradun is forecast to experience partly to generally cloudy skies. Light to moderate rainfall / thundershowers are likely to occur, which may be heavy in some areas. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be about 31 degrees Celsius and 25 degrees Celsius in Dehradun today. Meanwhile the maximum and minimum temperature recorded in various parts of the State on Thursday were 32.3 degrees Celsius and 24.2 degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun, 32.5 degrees Celsius and 25.5 degrees Celsius in Pantnagar, 20.4 degrees Celsius and 15.1 degrees Celsius in Mukteshwar and 24 degrees Celsius and 17.4 degrees Celsius respectively in New Tehri.
