Heavy rain warning issued again for six districts

There appears to be little respite from heavy rains in the State with six districts forecast to witness heavy rains today. The State Meteorological Centre has issued a yellow warning regarding the possibility of heavy rains/thunderstorms accompanied with lightning/intense to very intense spells of rain likely to occur at isolated places in Dehradun, Tehri, Pauri, Nainital, Champawat and Pithoragarh districts on Friday. Thunderstorms accompanied by lightning/intense to very intense spells of rain are likely to occur at isolated places in all districts of the State today. Apart from this, light to moderate rain/thundershowers are likely to occur at many places in all districts of the State.

The provisional State capital Dehradun is forecast to witness a partly to generally cloudy sky. One or two spells of light to moderate rain/thundershowers are likely to occur, which may be intense/heavy in some areas. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be about 31 degrees Celsius and 22 degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun today.

Meanwhile, while heavy rain was reported in the Nandanagar Tehsil of Chamoli district in the wee hours of Thursday, various parts of the State witnessed light rain during the day.
