U’khand among top performers in investment promotion

In the recently concluded State Investment Promotion Agency (IPA) rating exercise done by World Bank and Invest India, Uttarakhand has been recognised as one of the top performers.

A total of 20 Indian States participated in the State IPA Rating exercise. The evaluation was done based on the responses submitted by the States across eight pillars comprising mandate and organisation, strategy and marketing, targeting and investors, winning investment projects, facilitating investment projects, aftercare, systems and infrastructure, and website.

On the basis of responses submitted by States, they were categorised as top performers, aspiring leaders, promising developers and emerging potentials. Uttarakhand has jumped from aspiring leaders category in the last assessment to top performers in the current assessment.

The State’s Investment Promotion and Facilitation Cell (IPFC) – the State Investment Promotion Agency (IPA) of Uttarakhand has been recognised for adopting nationally and internationally recognised good practices and has hence performed well across all the eight pillars of the survey including 100 per cent achievement in five of the eight pillars

Invest India has appreciated the efforts and far-sightedness of the State IPA and Industries Department for creating the necessary ecosystem in the State and for taking considerable measures that have resulted in IPFC becoming one of the leading investment promotion agencies in India.
