The State government has approved the proposal of the Uttarakhand Medical Services Recruitment Board for the promotion of 56 faculty members in the government medical colleges of the State. The medical education department has promoted 34 assistant professors on the post of associate professor and 22 associate professors on the post of professor.
The department has also deputed the promoted faculty members in different medical colleges of the State. The health minister Dhan Singh Rawat said the department has promoted 34 assistant professors and 22 associate professors in the medical colleges after a long period of time. He said that the government plans to deploy faculty in 100 per cent of the posts in the medical colleges of the State.
The promotion of faculty members will give an impetus to the educational environment in the medical colleges of the State, he said.
