Health department appoints 29 new Specialist doctors

 The State Health department has appointed 29 specialist doctors in different districts. These doctors belonged to the cadre of Provincial Medical Health Services (PMHS) and were sent by the department for doing their post-graduation. After completion of their PG, these doctors have returned back to the State health services.

The department has deployed these specialist doctors after the endorsement by the State Health minister Dhan Singh Rawat . These doctors include physicians, gynaecologists, paediatricians, radiologists, ENT specialists, pathologists and ophthalmologists. The department has deployed five specialist doctors in Pauri, four each in Uttarkashi, Haridwar and Champawat districts, three each in Nainital, Tehri and Udham Singh Nagar districts and one each in Rudraprayag, Chamoli and Pithoragarh districts.  

Minister Rawat said that 29 specialist doctors have been appointed in district and sub district hospitals of the State. He said that the new doctors will help in further strengthening the State health services.
