Strict action will be taken against buses if they are sent from Uttarakhand to Delhi without a pollution certificate. Heavy rise in pollution has been seen in the capital of Delhi after Diwali. The quality of air depleted and people experienced itchy throat and irritation in the eyes. The Delhi government has sent a letter to the Transport Corporation stating the rules regarding the entry of vehicles in Delhi. Since the public transport in Delhi runs on Compressed Natural Gas (CNG), and only outside vehicles that run on diesel enter the city, it will be necessary that the buses that enter the capital are less than ten years old and carry a pollution certificate at all times. Failing to do so, stringent action will be taken by the Delhi Government against the vehicles.
