State Health Agency to organise special camps in 662 Nyay Panchayats across the state

The state health authority (SHA) entrusted with the implementation of the Ayushman Bharat and the Atal Ayushman Uttarakhand Yojana (AAUY) in Uttarakhand would now organise camps in the villages for making the golden cards. In these camps the cards would be made free of cost.

The chairman of the SHA, D K Kotia addressed the 600 Village Pradhans via video conferencing session on Saturday. He said that the role of Pradhans is of paramount importance in making the golden cards of villagers. Terming the making of cards as an auspicious work, Kotia appealed to Pradhans that they should help in the work of public welfare and ensure that the card of every beneficiary is made. It is pertinent to mention here that a fee of Rs 30 was being charged for making golden cards but these cards are being now made free of cost in the special camps in the Nyaya Panchayats.

Kotia informed that 43 Lakh cards have so far been made in the state and 35 Lakh more are needed to be made. These camps would be organised in two phases in 662 Nyay Panchayats of the state. The first phase is from March 23 to 27 while the second would be from March 30 to April 5.

Under the campaign the cards would be made in the nearest ‘Jan Sewa Kendra” and the SHA has  made the list of left out beneficiaries to the Village Pradhans.

The employees of the Panchayati Raj and Women and Child Development department would help in organising these camps. The SHA has decided to honour the first three village Panchayats in every block while the Panchayats securing first place in the district would be specially honoured by the chief minister himself.

Speaking on the occasion, the secretary Panchayati Raj, HC Semwal said that the campaign of making free cards is a golden opportunity and it should be availed. He also directed the officers and employees of Panchayati Raj and Women and Child Development departments to ensure that the campaign is successful. The  SHA director Dr Archana Srivastava,  IEC officer J C Pandey and others were present on the occasion.
