Following the order of the Uttarakhand High Court (HC) to complete the process of verification of the teachers working on the basis of forged documents, the education department has come into action mode. The department has directed all the primary and junior teachers to submit their documents relating to their educational qualifications in their respective offices of block education officers (BEO) till October 20. The department order means that more than 40000 teachers working in the primary and upper primary schools of the state would have to submit their documents. The records of the teachers would be submitted in the education directorate by BEOs on October 22. The education director R K Kunwar said that the teachers would have to submit all the documents on the basis of which they were appointed in the department. The teachers would have to self attest these documents. Kunwar warned that the action would be initiated against the teachers who fail to submit their documents till the stipulated date.
