Amid ongoing war of words between senior leaders of the Uttarakhand Congress, the Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) president Karan Mahara has again appealed to the party leaders to refrain from making comments publically. He however questioned the motive and timing of these leaders.

On the question of former PCC president Pritam Singh targeting the in charge of the Uttarakhand Congress Devendra Yadav, Mahara said that it is surprising since Pritam Singh used to be all praise for Yadav before the assembly elections of 2022. He said that Pritam Singh is a very senior leader of the party.

The In charge of the State Congress is not against any leader and is working sincerely, he added. Pritam Singh had recently attacked the in charge of Uttarakhand Congress, Yadav by stating that he is taking decisions without consulting anyone. He said that the in charge of the party has remained away from the State after the Vidhan Sabha elections and added that some politically mature person should be in his place.
