Tuesday, 01 May 2018 | PNS | Dehradun– The GVK EMRI 108 emergency ambulance service felicitated its field staff with Emergency Medical Care awards at a function held in provisional State capital on Monday. The workers who did commendable services to save the lives of the people in emergency conditions were honoured on the occasion. The State head of the GVK EMRI, Manish Tinku said that the 108 service is serving the people of the State from last ten years. He added that 300 to 350 emergencies are served daily by the ambulance service. He claimed that the services has responded to 12.58 lakh emergencies and saved 31,700 lives in the state till date. On the occasion the national saviour award was conferred upon the EMTs Gokul Singh and Digambar Kumar posted in an ambulance of Berinag. Both of them showed exemplary commitment and service by ensuring child birth in ambulance in an emergency situation. Many workers who have completed ten years in the service were also felicitated on the occasion.
