The Governor Lt Gen Gurmit Singh ( Rtd) visited the Kedarnath temple and offered puja. He was traditionally welcomed at the shrine by the tirth purohits. After the puja was offered, he conducted an on-site inspection of the ongoing development projects like Sangam Ghat and bridge and also the Sraraswati bridge. Earlier, addressing the pilgrims present, he said that a devotee could feel the presence of Lord Shiva in and around the revered Shiva shrine.
