Guides’ role crucial for maintaining Corbett’s reputation

The wild life experts stressed that the guides working for the Corbett National Park must maintain a friendly attitude towards tourists and provide them with accurate information about the wildlife found in the reserve. They addressed a three-day workshop for Corbett guides organised by the Corbett administration.
One of the experts present at the workshop, A G Ansari said that as Corbett National Park is a globally renowned reserve for its rich wildlife, the guides’ role in preserving its reputation is immense. Another wildlife expert Imran Khan said that the guides should not only inform tourists about animals but also about the various herbs, trees and plants found in the reserve. He also stressed that they must ensure that visitors follow wildlife rules and regulations.
Eco-tourism ranger Lalit Arya, along with hundreds of guides, was present at the workshop.
