In latest news from Uttarakhand, on receiving a complaint of illegal sale of a government land in the town, Nagar Palika Nainital sent a team to the disputed to investigate. The team found that two persons- Bhure and Azim- had illegally sold the government land to three others Ramesh, Khaliq and Vinod. Subsequently, a complaint was lodged at the local police station against the accused duo.
The three persons who had purchased the land were also directed to remove encroachment from the land.
Among those present in the civic body team were the executive officer Deepak Goswami and junior engineer Vipin Chandra. Goswami later said that with the completion of the investigation, strict actions would be taken against the accused.
