Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that the Bharatiya Janata Party media team acts as an important link to connect the people, party and the government. Speaking at a state-level media workshop of the BJP here on Friday, Dhami said that he takes cognisance of information received from the media team while taking action. The CM spoke about the various important decisions taken by the state government recently. He said that the opposition questions his announcements but he is making announcements after evaluation by various departments and the Finance department, adding that the announcements will definitely be executed on the ground. “Our aim is to reach the last person in society through you and improve his living standards by ensuring benefit of government schemes,” he told the party’s media team members.
The BJP national media in-charge Anil Baluni said that the MLAs, MPs and other public representatives are tested periodically by the public but the media team members are tested every day and have to deliver results daily. Stating that media team members receive space early, he cited his own example, adding that PM Narendra Modi, the late Sushma Swaraj, late Arun Jaitley, Ravishankar Prasad, Prakash Javadekar and Nirmala Sitharaman were all connected to the party’s media team and rose to the top. He spoke about the changes in television, print, online and social media and shared tips to use these for disseminating information about governmental schemes and party activities. The BJP State president Madan Kaushik, national spokesman and State election co-in-charge RP Singh and others also addressed the gathering on the occasion.
