Governor releases book on life & works of CM Dhami

The governor, lieutenant general (retd) Gurmit Singh released a book written on the life and works of chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami in a programme organised at Raj Bhawan on Thursday. The book ‘Pushkar Dhami : The Vibrant Heat of the Himalayas’ is written by young author Sambhavna Pant. 

Speaking on the occasion, the governor praised Pant and said that the book beautifully depicts the childhood, struggle of Pushkar Singh Dhami and his achievements. He said that Dhami has proved himself as the leader who likes to lead from the front and is very humble, grounded and hard working. The governor said that under the leadership of Dhami, Uttarakhand has made significant and historic achievements in every field. The governor added that Uttarakhand government working dedicatedly to fulfil the vision Prime Minister Narendra Modi has for the State.

In his address the CM shared his childhood experiences and recalled the struggles of his mother. Dhami said that he never thought that he would achieve big things in life but he firmly believed that he will do something good for the society. He thanked all the dignitaries who attended the ceremony and the publishers and the author of the book. 

Speaking on the occasion, Swami Chidanand Saraswati of Parmarth Niketan, Rishikesh said that commendable work is being done in the country under the leadership of PM Modi to nurture and flourish the unity and integrity of India. He said that under CM Dhami work for the all-round development of youth, women and communities deprived from the mainstream of society is being done in Uttarakhand.

The head of Kalki Dham in Uttar Pradesh Acharya Pramod Krishnam,  praised the CM for taking bold decisions.

Former CM of Uttarakhand and governor of Maharashtra, Bhagat Singh Koshyari, cabinet minister Ganesh Joshi, Rajya Sabha MP Naresh Bansal and Kalpana Saini, Savita Kapoor and Brijbhushan Gairola, recipient of Padmashree Basanti Bisht and others attended the ceremony.
