Weather to change today, snowfall & rain likely in three districts

After a spell of clear weather lasting a few days, the weather is set to take a turn on Tuesday with rain and snowfall forecast in the State. The State meteorological centre has forecast that very light to light rain is likely to occur at isolated places in Uttarkashi, Chamoli and Pithoragarh districts while very light to light snowfall is likely in places situated at altitudes of 3,500 metres and above in these districts. Apart from this, dry weather is likely to prevail in the remaining districts of the State today.

The meteorological centre has further forecast that the provisional State capital Dehradun will witness a partly cloudy sky with mist likely to occur in some parts during the morning hours. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be about 22 degrees Celsius and 10 degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun on Tuesday.

The maximum and minimum temperatures recorded in various parts of the State on Monday were 23.2 degrees Celsius and 8.6 degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun, 25.2 degrees Celsius and 5.6 degrees Celsius in Pantnagar, 14.9 degrees Celsius and four degrees Celsius in Mukteshwar and 16.4 degrees Celsius and 4.7 degrees Celsius in New Tehri.
