The Governor Baby Rani Maurya and the chief minister Trivendra Singh Rawat have congratulated the people of the state on the occasion of the New Year.
In her message, the Governor stressed on t he fact that love and harmony among the people of the state must be maintained in the coming year. She also urged people to contribute positively to the development of the state.
In his message issued on the eve of the New Year, CM wished for the happiness, peace and prosperity of the people of the state. He said that his government has been trying its best to rise up to the challenge thrown by the mandate. In 2018,the government has made efforts for the overall development of the state and taking public welfare schemes to the common man, he said and added that this year the state government has taken some major decisions. He mentioned Atal Ayushman Uttarakhand Yojana in particular which, he said, would take the health facilities to every person in the state. He also cited the success of the Investors Summit during which MoUs were signed on proposals worth over Rs 1 lakh crores and the same worth Rs 40 thousand crores were signed for the small scale industries in the hill areas. “Through tourism, we have tried to change the picture of the state. Thirteen new tourist sites are being developed in 13 districts of the state. Adventure tourism is being promoted by giving tourism status to industry. For rural tourism, target to create 5,000 new homestays has been set,” he said. Read more posts…
