GBPUAT organises farmer awareness programmes in villages

A team of scientists from the Govind Ballabh Pant University of Agriculture and Technology (GBPUAT) in association with the Agriculture department launched awareness campaign among farmers in Bhagchuri, Jadhopur and Bari villages in Khatima block. The programme was led by the director of Extension Education, Jitendra Quatra. During the programme, farmers were provided important information on various aspects of advanced agricultural techniques, crop management, pest management, organic farming, soil health management, animal husbandry and agro-based entrepreneurship.
Among those present were the Agriculture and Soil Conservation officer, Vidhi Upadhyay and Agriculture and Land Conservation officer, Kundan Manola. The team of the university included the professor, Department of Crop Science, S K Singh. The scientists addressed the queries of the farmers and encouraged them to participate in various training programmes conducted by the university.
