Fourth-generation officer passes out from IMA

Officer cadet Harmanmeet Singh Reen was commissioned as an officer after passing out from the Indian Military Academy (IMA) here on Saturday.

With his commissioning, his family’s tradition of service to the nation and the Army continued in its fourth generation.Reen is a fourth-generation officer and has performed well during his training. He received the Silver Medal at CTW MCTE and was also awarded the Bayonet Pin and six star torch for excellent academic performance.

He also showed good performance in sports by earning a Half Blue in squash and a Merit Card in tennis. He is following the footsteps of his father, Colonel Harmeet Singh, who is a serving Army officer. His mother, Harveen Reen is an experienced educationist with 26 years of service and has always supported and guided him.

Speaking on the occasion, Lieutenant Haramanmeet Singh Reen said it was a very proud moment for him and his family to serve the nation.
