Food Park in Nagpur Asia’s largest food processing unit: Balkrishna

The Patanjali Mega Food and Herbal Park established by Patanjali in MIHAN, Nagpur would have Asia’s largest orange processing plant, said Acharya Balkrishna while addressing a media conference in MIHAN, Nagpur on Friday, adding that the Union Minister of Road Transport, State Highways and Shipping Nitin Gadkari and Maharashtra’s chief minister Devendra Fadnavis would inaugurate the plant on March 9.
He further said that the plant has a processing capacity of 800 tonnes per day. “Working on zero wastage system, our plant starts with orange peels. We are also focused on its by-products. It took us a lot of time and research to bring this plant on the ground,” he said and added that their priority is to provide employment to the local people and make the farmers prosperous.
