Culture secretary HC Semwal launched the rendition of folk song Ramayani by Ankit Semwal at a function here on Saturday.
Culture department director Beena Bhatt was also present on the occasion. Speaking on the occasion, HC Semwal congratulated all members of the Rag Pahad Samiti while stating that folk songs connect the people to the native culture.
Good music does not have any specific language as its melody is appreciated in any language, he said. Bhatt also appreciated the work being done by Rag Pahad Samiti for preserving native culture.
