The State meteorological centre has forecast the possibility of very light to light rain/snowfall especially in the higher altitude regions of three districts. According to the meteorological centre, there is possibility of very light to light rain (upto one centimetre)/ snowfall (upto 10 centimetres) in Chamoli, Uttarkashi and Pithoragarh districts-especially in the high altitude regions on February 14, 15 and 16. Dry weather is likely to prevail in the remaining districts on Sunday. Moderate to dense fog is likely to occur in some parts of Haridwar and Udham Singh Nagar districts.
The provisional state capital Dehradun is forecast to experience mainly clear to partly cloudy sky on Sunday with the maximum and minimum temperatures likely to be about 25 degrees Celsius and 10 degrees Celsius respectively. The maximum and minimum temperatures recorded at other places in the state on Saturday were 24.8 degrees Celsius and 10.6 degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun, 25.6 degrees Celsius and 7.3 degrees Celsius in Pantnagar, 17.2 degrees Celsius and 6.3 degrees Celsius in Mukteshwar and 17.2 degrees Celsius and 7.6 degrees Celsius respectively in New Tehri.
