74 cases reported on Tuesday, State now has 308 active dengue cases

With the spread of dengue continuing across the State, 74 cases of the vector-borne disease were reported on Tuesday. The total number of active dengue cases in the State is now 308. According to information from the Health department, the cumulative number of dengue cases this season is 2,402 out of which 2,079 patients have recovered from the disease.

Out of the 74 cases reported on Tuesday, 32 are from Pauri district, 13 each from Dehradun and Haridwar district, 10 from Nainital district, three from Champawat district, two from Udham Singh Nagar district and one from Chamoli district. The cumulative number of dengue cases is highest in Dehradun district with 915 cases followed by 489 in Pauri, 408 in Haridwar, 377 in Nainital, 71 in Udham Singh Nagar, 50 in Chamoli, 42 in Champawat, 17 in Tehri, 14 in Rudraprayag, 10 in Bageshwar and nine in Almora. No cases of the disease have been reported so far in Uttarkashi and Pithoragarh districts.

According to the Health department a total of 15 persons have died from dengue in the State so far out of which 13 deaths have occurred in Dehradun district and two in Nainital.
