The Finance ministry has approved about Rs 62 crore for setting up a new unit of Uttarakhand Dairy Cooperative Federation Limited’s (UCDF) Aanchal brand. The factory authorities have started preparations for laying the foundation stone for the new unit next month.
Providing this information the UCDF chairman Mukesh Bora informed that due to efforts made by chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami and Dairy Development minister Saurabh Bahuguna along with Union minister of State Ajay Bhatt, the Finance ministry has approved Rs 61.76 crore budget for a new high-tech unit of UCDF. He said that soon he will meet the chief minister and the Dairy Development minister to discuss the foundation stone laying for the new unit to be set up in Lalkuan. This task is expected to be undertaken next month. He said that the establishment of the new modern plant will enable Aanchal to compete better with other dairy brands.
