As the long summer break is about to end and the schools are set to reopen, the children say that they would face problems at least for a few days while returning to their old routine of life. Along with the children, their parents are disturbed too. They say that the children’s sleep remains fitful for some days after the classes resume.
While the children say that they would have to wake up much earlier than they would prefer to reach schools in time, the parents’ stress lies in the fact that they would have to force the children out of their beds in the early morning so as to ensure that they reach the schools at the right time.
“This switch from a little relaxed life during the vacation to the strict following of the morning routine after the schools reopen is a difficult period not just for the children but for us too,” said a parent Renu Bala. She added that after the vacation ends, she would have to switch over to the old routine of waking up the reluctant children in early morning hours and making them sit for studies to help them adapt themselves to the changed texture of life fast.
Another parent Priyanka Verma said that during the time of vacation, she herself wakes up late in the morning. “I have noticed that the sleep pattern of my child changes and becomes a little fitful and disturbed after the vacation ends and the daily old routine life returns, matching the strict school requirements. I find it a little difficult to adapt him to the changed pattern of life after the vacation ends as he gets a bit used to the relaxed pattern of life he enjoys during the vacation,” she said. Asked how he is feeling now with the summer vacation ending, a student Naman Bhatt said that he felt elated as he would again meet his pals. “But at the same time, I do not want the vacations to end. Finishing homework before the vacation ends keeps me stressed, but the most painful thing for me is that I will have to wake up quite early in the morning,” he added.
