The annual convention of the Urban Development Centralised (Revenue) Service Association was held in Dehradun Municipal Corporation premises on Saturday during which the members of the new executive committee were elected, unopposed. They included Mahendra Kumar Yadav for the post of president, Ishwar Singh Rawat from Kumaon division and Poonam Rawat from Garhwal division for the post of vice -president, Rajesh Naithani for the post of State convenor, Vinay Pratap Singh for the post of general secretary, Ramesh Dutt Pathak for the post of organisation secretary, Ramesh Rawat for the post of joint secretary Garhwal division and Bharat Tripathi from Kumaon division, Mohit Pathak for the post of treasurer and Sudha Yadav for the post of co-treasurer.
Besides, Ravindra Singh Panwar and Girish Chandra Semwal were elected as the office secretaries while Lokesh Badoni, Shivam Chaudhary and Rajiv Negi were elected as member secretaries.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the newly elected president of the organisation stated that effective advocacy would be undertaken at the government level in the future to resolve the discrepancies related to the revenue service. He stressed on unity of the members.
The discrepancies related to the revenue service were discussed in detail and it was decided that a representation on various revenue service-related problems would be prepared as soon as possible and sent to the secretary of Urban Development and the director of Urban Development.
