Heavy rain warning issued for four districts today

The State meteorological centre has issued a warning regarding the possibility of heavy rainfall in four districts of the Kumaon region on Wednesday. The meteorological centre has issued a warning (watch) regarding the possibility of heavy rainfall likely to occur at isolated places in Bageshwar, Pithoragarh, Nainital and Champawat districts today. Thunderstorm/lightning with intense showers are also likely to occur at isolated places in the mountainous regions of the State today. Apart from this, light to moderate rainfall/thundershowers are likely to occur at most places in the districts of Kumaon region and at many places in the districts of Garhwal region on Wednesday.

The provisional State capital Dehradun is forecast to experience partly to generally cloudy sky. Light to moderate rain/thundershower is likely to occur, which may be intense/heavy in some areas. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be about 33 degrees Celsius and 23 degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun on Wednesday.

Meanwhile the maximum and minimum temperatures recorded in parts of the State on Tuesday were 33.9 degrees Celsius and 23.1 degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun, 33.5 degrees Celsius and 24.5 degrees Celsius in Pantnagar, 20.3 degrees Celsius and 14.3 degrees Celsius in Mukteshwar and 24.5 degrees Celsius and 15.5 degrees Celsius respectively in New Tehri.
