Bachchan will be brand ambassador of the event

In latest news from Dehradun, the chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami announced that the sixth World Congress on Disaster Management is all set to be held in Dehradun from November 28 to 1 December under the joint auspices of Uttarakhand State Disaster Management Authority (USDMA), Hyderabad-based Disaster Management Infrastructure and Control Society (DMICS) and Uttarakhand State Council for Science and Technology (UCOST). It is meant to deliberate on the state of the art technologies for disaster risk mitigation. He further said that November being the last month of India’s presidency of the G-20 conference, Dehradun is hosting this special event on Disaster Risk Reduction. He added that the Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Union disaster management minister Amit Shah are being invited to attend the congress. Besides, the heads of Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) and Atomic Energy Commission would be invited too. Additionally, the celebrated climate scientists from across the world and those from UNO would be invited at the congress. The CM further informed that the iconic actor Amitabh Bachchan has agreed to be the brand ambassador of the congress.
