Doon smart city project works to be expedited- CM

The chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has said that the works of the Dehradun smart city project would be expedited. He was addressing a programme organised by Rajpur Road MLA, Khajan Das here on Tuesday. In the programme the MLA told the CM that the people are facing problems due to the ongoing smart city project. He also requested that the fish market should also be shifted elsewhere. In his address the CM assured that the works of smart city would be expedited and a solution for the fish market would be found. He said that the people of the state have put a stamp of approval on the development works undertaken under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The CM said the PM has said that the third decade of the 21st century would be of Uttarakhand and the state government is committed to fulfil this dream of PM. He assured that all the commitments and declarations of his government would be completed in the scheduled time frame. He said that a record number of pilgrims is expected to arrive for this year’s Char Dham Yatra and necessary preparations for the Yatra are being done. He said that many social welfare schemes are being operated in the state for all sections of the society.  The CM said that the government has increased the daily allowance of sanitation workers and given the benefit of the old age pension scheme for both husband and wife in a family. In the budget provision of three free gas cylinders for a poor family has been made. He added that the state government has released a 1064 number and App to rein corruption in government.

Former chief minister Trivendra Singh Rawat, cabinet ministers Premchand Agarwal, Ganesh Joshi, MP Mala Rajya Laxmi Shah, MLA Savita Kapur and Mayor of Dehradun Sunil Uniyal Gama were present on the occasion.
