Locals informed about FCI schemes in U’kashi village

As part of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, the Dehradun regional office of the Food Corporation of India (FCI) organised a programme at Damta village in the Naugaon block of Uttarkashi district to inform the public about various schemes of the corporation and the benefit to the public from FCI. The Purola municipality chairperson Shanti Juwantha inaugurated the event.

Speaking on the occasion, she said that the central government is conducting schemes for food grain distribution, food processing and distribution of nutritious food for the benefit of the people in this region too. Food grain distribution to all citizens is being undertaken successfully through the FCI, she said, while also appreciating the corporation for its work. Presiding over the function, the FCI Dehradun regional manager Sachin Dev informed the public in detail about the various schemes of the corporation. He spoke in detail about the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana and other schemes being facilitated through the corporation. Suresh Saraswat, Prakhar Rana, Khushi Ram Joshi and others from the corporation were also involved in the event.
