DM, Tehri apprised of Char Dham Yatra details

In latest news from Uttarakhand, while chairing a meeting of the district level road safety committee here on Monday, the district magistrate, Tehri, Mayur Dixit sought information about the total number of green cards, trip cards, number of  Char Dham Yatra pilgrims, number of challans issued during the Yatra and actions taken in overloading and other cases. He directed the BRO representatives to ensure that the debris lying on various stretches of roads was removed at the earliest. At the meeting, the
assistant regional transport officer, Satyendra Raj gave a comparative statement of accidents in Tehri district from January to April, stating that the accidents that occurred on National Highways were more in number than those which occurred on other roads.   
Further, he was informed that in compliance with the instructions given at the last meeting, the work of installing crash barriers at Jakh junction of Chamba-Koti Colony motor road, parapet on Narendranagar-Ranipokhari motor road, parapet on Aglad-Thatyur-Almas motor road and delineator on Suwakholi-Almas-Nagun motor road under Chamba block has been completed by the department.
