DM & SSP review arrangements for President’s arrival in Doon

The Dehradun district magistrate Sonika and senior superintendent of police (SSP) Daleep Singh Kunwar held a joint meeting on Thursday to review the arrangements of departments concerned in view of President Droupadi Murmu’s scheduled visit to Dehradun on December 9. 

The DM directed the officials of the Public Works Department (PWD) and National Highways (NH) to fix the damaged roads. She directed the municipal corporation to maintain a proper sanitation system and the Forest department to carry out lopping at the helipad and on the fixed routes in the district. She asked the officials concerned to ensure uninterrupted power supply and mobile connectivity during the event which is scheduled to be attended by the President. She also directed the health officials concerned to carry out the RT-PCR test of the employees and officials who will be potentially close to the President as per the norms. The SSP directed the officials to prepare a route plan in coordination with police and the district administration officials besides making standard safety arrangements among others.

The DM and SSP also inspected the Doon University to check arrangements where the President is scheduled to attend the convocation.
