DM reviews preparations for State Foundation silver jubilee ahead of PM’s visit

In view of the proposed participation of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the State Foundation Silver Jubilee celebrations, the Dehradun district magistrate Savin Bansal held a meeting with his core team at Rishiparna Auditorium on Friday to review arrangements and issue necessary directions. Bansal said that the event holds significance for the district and instructed officials to ensure all preparations are completed within the given timeframe. He reviewed arrangements related to the venue, security management, traffic control, parking, VIP movement, media coordination, electricity, drinking water, sanitation and medical and emergency services. The DM emphasised that public convenience should remain a priority during the programme. He directed that there should be no disorder or inconvenience at any stage of the event. He instructed officials to maintain constant communication and coordination among departments concerned to ensure seamless management. During the meeting, officers from all departments concerned presented updates on their respective responsibilities. The DM asked each department to conduct regular site inspections and to finalise all works according to prescribed standards. He also stressed the need for efficient coordination between administrative and police teams for crowd management, route planning and VVIP security. Bansal said that all arrangements must reflect thorough preparedness and inter-departmental cooperation. The meeting focused on timely completion of tasks and on-site monitoring to ensure readiness ahead of Modi’s proposed visit. The DM directed all officers to remain vigilant and to report daily progress on the arrangements for the State Foundation Silver Jubilee celebrations.
