DM piqued over slow progress of medical college hostel, circuit house constructions

The Udham Singh Nagar district magistrate, Nitin Singh Bhadauria conducted on Tuesday a surprise inspection of the Government Medical College hostel and circuit house-the projects being carried out by the Peyjal Nirman Nigam.  During the inspection, the DM expressed strong displeasure over the slow progress of the work and gave clear instructions to the officials concerned to speed up things with immediate effect. He said that
both these projects are extremely important from public and administrative perspectives. He directed the project manager, Peyjal Nirman Nigam, to ensure that the construction work is completed expeditiously and in accordance with quality standards. He further clarified that the responsible officers would be held accountable for unsatisfactory progress in future.

Moreover, he directed the chief development officer to see to it that regular reviews of these projects are done. He also ordered that no further payments be made without the CDO’s approval.  

During the inspection, the DM also interacted with the engineers and officials present on the sites about the current status of the work and the impediments they might be facing.


Among those who accompanied the DM during the inspection were the chief development officer, Divesh Shashani and project manager, Peyjal Nirman Nigam, Narendra Nawani.
