Digital awareness workshop held at DLRC

A workshop on digital awareness was held at the Doon Library and Research Centre (DLRC) on Saturday. The session was conducted by digital world and the Sahas Foundation Inclusive Resource Centre, focusing on basic information about digital awareness and the emerging landscape of cyberspace.

This workshop, aimed at the general public and various institutions, was particularly beneficial for individuals with limited knowledge of digital technologies. Speakers at the workshop stated that this session is ideal for community organisations, teachers and grassroots workers and it will serve as the first step in a comprehensive educational journey.

They  emphasised that the workshop would help develop future customised modules on fundamental cyber security, online behaviour and emerging technologies such as AI. The ultimate goal is to foster a digitally literate and aware society.

Various topics were discussed during the session, including the basics of the internet and digital services, common digital tools and their applications and others. Programme coordinator Shahab Naqvi highlighted that such workshops are perfect for community organisations, teachers, professionals, youth and anyone looking to enhance their foundational knowledge of the digital ecosystem.
